A CMRE scientists team from the Data Knowledge for Operational Exploitation Programme participated to the first “RAdars for loNG distance maritime surveillancE and SaR operations” (RANGER) Pilot demonstration, which was completed on the 16th of October in the marine area between Cap Bear and Aix-en-Provence in France.
On the 12th and 13th September 2018, CMRE participated in the first MARISA Northern Sea Operational Trial. The trial was organised by TNO (Toegepast Natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek), the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research, and hosted by the Netherlands Coastguard in their facility at Den Helder.
Sesimbra and Peniche were this year venues for the 9th edition of the Recognized Environmental Picture Atlantic Exercise (REP18), which has brought together dozens of autonomous underwater, surface and air vehicles for coastal operations from 10 to 21 September.
The CMRE is proud to announce a new edition of the 5th Workshop on Military Applications of the Underwater Glider Technology (WMAUGT) that will be held on 13-15 November 2018 in the own Centre facilities at La Spezia, Italy.
