The NATO CRV Leonardo, operated by CMRE and crewed by the Italian Navy under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with NATO, completed the deep water calibration of the acoustic positioning upgrade, improving once more NATO scientific test capabilities at sea.

The Robocademy project, supported by the EU Marie Curie Initial Training Network fund, started in Bremen on 29-31 January 2014. CMRE is part of the partners' consortium and will host for three years a PhD candidate on Optical Mapping & Disturbance Rejection.

The University of Cambridge wins SAUC-Europe ‘13 at CMRE

The team's AUV named "Barracuda" obtained the highest score performing a number of mission tasks in 8th edition of the Autonomous Underwater Vehicles challenge for university students. The 2nd prize went to the University of the West England while the University of Florence   took home the 3rd prize.

CMRE, serving NATO and the NATO Nations

When the NATO Undersea Research Centre (NURC) was decommissioned and the new STO Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation was established on 1 July 2012, it wasn't just a name change. The NATO Secretary General marks the one year anniversary of the STO in a video, as the culmination of the S&T Reform component of NATO’s Agency Reform begun in 2011.

CMRE Hydrophone Technology Used in Undersea Neutrino Telescope
