Organisation of NURC

NURC has a multicultural international environment. Staff come from NATO member nations and bring to the Centre a broad range of scientific, technical, and support expertise. The Director and Deputy Director are appointed by the North Atlantic Council on the recommendation of the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT) to whom the Director reports. SACT is also advised by a Scientific Committee.

 

Rotational Staffing

Scientists from NATO member nations represent approximately one-fourth of the Centre staff. A scientist is usually offered a 3-year contract which may be extended. The rotational system under which scientists come to the Centre and then return to their home countries guarantees the exchange of ideas and information, and future collaboration and partnerships.
